According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are now entering the race to sign Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr, just 48 hours after he was linked with rivals Arsenal.
Spurs failed to bring in any new signings this past summer, and that has resulted in major speculation about who they could sign in January.
A host of players, including Leicester City's Ben Chilwell and Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong, have been touted for moves to North London, and another name has been added to the list.
Calciomercato report that Tottenham have joined the race for Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr, just a matter of hours after he was linked with a move to Arsenal.
The Mirror claimed on Tuesday that Arsenal were keen to bring in Sarr having been impressed with his displays for Rennes, with a £20million fee suggested.
Now though, Tottenham look set to rival their North London rivals, and could hijack their interest with their own January move for the Senegalese star.
Sarr, 20, joined Rennes from Metz in 2016, and has earned comparisons to fellow speedsters Sadio Mane and Ousmane Dembele having impressed with his wing play.
Tottenham do already have wing options though in Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min, and if they do land Sarr in 2019, they will hope that he was more success than the last winger they landed from French football in Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
