Brentford star Sergi Canos is proud of the football his side are playing this season.

The Bees sit in seventh place in the Championship table, just three points off the top.

Canos has been a regular for Brentford so far this season and he says only one team can match his side for quality.

Speaking to The Guardian, Canos say that league leaders Leeds are the only club who he believes are capable of playing the same brand of football.

He said: "A lot of people compare us with them [Barcelona]. Barcelona is Barcelona but Brentford is Brentford. The counter-pressing, moving the ball quick, wide players giving width.

"It is basically the same. We are all different but we try to play good football. It is great for us; I don’t think anyone – maybe Leeds – plays like we play."

Leeds are led by manager Marcelo Bielsa, who Pep Guardiola hails as a big influence on his managerial career.

Guardiola managed Barcelona successfully, and it is his football there which Brentford are attempting to imitate.

So far it has brought them success this season, but it is Leeds who top the table, three points ahead of the Bees.

Leeds host Brentford in two weekend's time on October 6 at Elland Road. It is a game which promises to be easy on the eye.
