Rangers will rotate their team for the League Cup game at Ibrox.
Rangers will rotate their squad for this evening's League Cup fixture against Ayr.
The Gers are favourites to win the cup quarter-final at Ibrox and they will be making changes to the Rangers side which beat St Johnstone at the weekend.
Assistant boss Gary McAllister confirmed the management team's plans, saying they had to factor in the multiple competitions Rangers are competing in.
He said they will select a strong team, but there will also be opportunities for youngsters.
McAllister confirmed two new faces have been added to the squad, who have never featured before.
McAllister told the Rangers official club website: "As you know, our schedule has been pretty manic since day one with our big run in the Europa League in beside the cup ties.
“We have a 25-man squad, but we will go strong. There is an opportunity for younger players though to maybe stick their head above the sand here as in the squad of 20, we have six young players.
Both Cammy Palmer and Jack Thomson were in action on Monday as Rangers' under-20 side beat Motherwell 6-2.
Striker Dapo Mebude scored a hat-trick from the bench, but it was Palmer and Thomson who were praised after the match by coach Peter Lovenkrands as 'outstanding'.
The duo face a challenge to make the bench. Even if they don't, being part of the squad and getting involved behind the scenes make for a memorable occasion for the pair.
