West Bromwich Albion fans have responded to Newcastle United-owned striker Dwight Gayle’s post on social networking site Twitter following the win against Millwall.
The Baggies got the better of Millwall at The Hawthorns in the Championship this past weekend.
The 28-year-old striker - who earns £40,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com - has been superb for the Baggies since his loan move from Newcastle.
The former Peterborough United striker has scored five goals and provided one assist in seven Championship starts for West Brom so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Gayle joined Newcastle from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £10 million.
West Brom fans are pleased with how Gayle is playing for the team at the moment and have responded positively to his post on Twitter.
