Leeds United attacker Izzy Brown has said he cannot wait to make his first appearance for the club.

Brown signed on loan from Chelsea and is recovering from a torn ACL sustained while on loan with Brighton.

Leeds are playing the waiting game, and working closely with Brown to aid his recovery.

This week Brown headed to Leeds Beckett University to take advantage of their fitness facilities and put himself through further testing as he ramps up his recovery.

Brown told Leeds' official website that he is itching to get started for his new side, whenever that may be.

He said: "After watching the lads during the matches I just want to get out onto the pitch and play but I know I’ve got to wait for my time and hopefully do everything right, get stronger everyday and be back before anyone knows it."

Brown is not putting a timeframe on his recovery, and he will have to prove his fitness at under-23 level first.

The attacking midfielder will also want to find a bit of form before going into the first team, so he can do himself justice.

The Championship can be an unforgiving league and Leeds fans can be demanding as well as supportive.

With promotion on the line, Brown can be a big factor for Leeds, but only when he is ready.
