Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has predicted on social networking site Twitter that John McGinn will leave Aston Villa for £15 million inside a year.

McManus, who now works as a pundit, made the prediction following McGinn’s wonder-goal against Sheffield Wednesday this past weekend.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored a stunning volley during Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Wednesday at Villa Park in the Championship this past Saturday.

The Scotland international joined Villa from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Lancashire Telegraph to be worth £4 million.

McGinn has scored one goal and provided two assists in eight Championship appearances for Villa so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Steve Bruce’s Villans are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 13 points from nine matches, just three points behind sixth-placed Derby County.
