Some Everton fans on Twitter haven't reacted well to Dominic Calvert-Lewin's performance in Sunday's defeat by Arsenal.
The Toffees went down 2-0 at the Emirates but it could and might have been different if not for missed chances.
One of those opportunities fell to the Everton attacker, who led the forward line yesterday, but the 21-year-old opted to take the ball around Petr Cech rather than pass to the unmarked Richarlison in acres of space and the chance went begging.
It was a big opportunity for the young striker to prove what he could do, with Marco Silva preferring him to Cenk Tosun, but the Portuguese manager took him off after 72 minutes on an overall disappointing evening for the youngster.
He worked hard, but that wasn't enough for Everton yesterday and here's what some supporters are saying about his performance:
Just got home. What the hell is Calvert-Lewin doing for that early chance? Square it and we score. #EFC— Dave Downie (@daviddownie17) September 23, 2018
Well Calvert-Lewin was unsuccessful in his audition as a Central striker for EFC.— Kev (@KevPerry02) September 23, 2018
Next game MUST BE
Bernard Richarlson Walcott
Going to the emirates with Calvert-Lewin up front tho after spending that much?— Ross (@rossEFC95) September 23, 2018
Calvert Lewin is honestly one of the worst strikers I’ve seen— Mike (@EfcMikee) September 23, 2018
No matter what the question is, Calvert-Lewin is not the answer. Just not good enough at this level. #EFC— Brian Viner (@vinerbrian) September 23, 2018

He joined the Goodison Park club for around £1.5 million from Sheffield United in 2016.
