The Burton Albion teenager is said to be on the radar of Liverpool, Everton and more.
Burton Albion’s Jaylan Wildbore is on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton, according to the Sunday Mirror (September 23, page 65).
Chelsea and Manchester City are also said keen on the 15-year-old Brewers prospect, who plays as a striker.
Wildbore has yet to appear for Burton’s first team, and may find the chance to further his education at one of the country’s top academies an appealing one.
In that case, Liverpool and Manchester City may wish to exploit their ties to Nigel Clough, the Burton manager who played for both clubs, in order to see off Everton, Chelsea and the rest.
Should any of the aforementioned clubs choose to pursue a deal for Wildbore, Burton – a category 3 club – would be due £3,000 per year spent at the club between the ages of nine to 11, and £12,500 per year between the ages of 12 to 16, under the Elite Player Performance Plan introduced in 2011.
