Leeds United's unbeaten league run under Marcelo Bielsa is over after a 2-1 home defeat to Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites went into the game having thrashed Preston North End 3-0, and sat top of the Championship table with five wins and three draws under Bielsa.

With no defeats in the Championship, fans were hoping for another strong showing against Birmingham City, who are of course now led by ex-Leeds boss Garry Monk.

Unbeaten Leeds against a winless Birmingham side managed by a former Whites boss had a recipe for being a banana skin, and that's how it proved as the Blues became the first team this season to leave Elland Road with all three points.

Che Adams opened the scoring by catching Bailey Peacock-Farrell out at his near post, before he added a second with an angled strike off the post.

Ezgjan Alioski pulled one back for Leeds but it was Bielsa's first league defeat as Whites boss, and fans are now expecting him to make changes – potentially between the sticks.

Peacock-Farrell didn't enjoy his finest game in a Leeds shirt, and that has resulted in a number of fans calling for Bielsa to drop him in favour of summer signing Jamal Blackman.

Fans took to Twitter to suggest that they are fed up of Peacock-Farrell's errors, calling him 'very average' whilst urging Bielsa to bring in Blackman in order to give the Chelsea loanee a chance to show what he can do.
