Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Rangers will head into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Villarreal away from home at El Madrigal in the Europa League.
Manager Gerrard has suggested that 20-year-old midfielder Ejaria - who joined Rangers on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window and earns £104,000 per year as salary, according to Spotrac.com - could play against St. Johnstone.
The former Liverpool midfielder, though, has admitted that 25-year-old Croatia international left-back Borna Barisic - who joined Rangers from NK Osijek in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £2.2 million - is a big doubt.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “Ejaria has a good chance of being involved, but Borna might struggle. He’s been sent for a scan on his hamstring and is a big doubt.”
Challenging for the top spot
Rangers are fourth in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with eight points from five matches, as many as seven points behind leaders Heart of Midlothian.
The Gers, though, are only two points behind Old Firm rivals and second-placed Celtic, and they are still very much in the title race this season.
