Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers earned a 2-2 draw with Villarreal to earn a point in their first Europa League group match.

It was a proud moment for the Rangers team, management, and supporters.

Rangers fully deserved the draw, taking the chances they were presented with, and coming from behind twice to earn a point.

Rangers players were quick to comment on social media after the win, sending messages to supporters.

Kyle Lafferty, Glenn Middleton, James Tavernier and debutant Joe Worrall all sent messages on Twitter…

Rangers coach Michael Beale followed it up with a message to supporters, thanking them and wishing them safe trips home.

If Rangers’ doubted themselves going into the game, they didn’t show it, and last night will give them belief they belong playing against a team like Villarreal.
