Rangers have renewed Jams Tavernier's contract.
Rangers have signed club captain James Tavernier to a new contract.
Tavernier has tied his future to the Gers until 2022, a big show of commitment by both club and player.
Tavernier has become a fan favourite since signing from Wigan Athletic in 2015.
Successive managers have been impressed with Tavernier and kept him in the team as captain.
Tavernier himself has rejected overtures from clubs back in England and his new contract is a reward for his loyalty as well as his strong performances.
He told the club website that he was delighted to stay put and thanked Rangers for reinvigorating his career.
Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the news...

Brilliant James. I know it’s a short career and you could chase the wealth down south but it must be a real buzz having 51K fans worship you and you get to be in a team that always should be challenging for silverwear and playing in Europe. Looking back that’s what memories are— Andy The Photo Dr (@andythephotoDr) September 18, 2018
