Rangers striker Umar Sadiq against Max Power
Ibrox club Rangers signed Sadiq on a season-long loan deal from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old striker has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox so far this season and is struggling to get into manager Steven Gerrard’s team.
The Nigeria Under-23 international, though, has stated that he is not planning about leaving Rangers anytime soon.
All Nigeria Soccer quotes Sadiq as saying about his future: "It's too soon to talk about movements.
“I am here to play football and I know it won't be easy. It’s a privilege to work with a living legend like Steven Gerrard.
“I’m working hard in trainings and we're doing the right things. Its just too early to talk about leaving. Let's just see how the future turns out.”
Staying at Rangers
Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty are ahead of Sadiq in the pecking order at Rangers, and the Nigerian youngster will have to work hard in order to play regularly for Rangers this season.
It is great and very impressive of the Roma-owned striker that he is not thinking about leaving Rangers.
Gerrard is one of the greatest footballers of all time, and working with the Liverpool legend can only make Sadiq a better footballer.
According to The Scottish Sun, Roma paid Spezia £2 million in transfer fees in 2016 in order to to secure the services of Sadiq.
