Celtic returned to action on Friday evening, as Brendan Rodgers’s side took on St. Mirren away from home at the The Simple Digital Arena in the Scottish Premiership.
The Glasgow giants headed into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Rangers at Celtic Park in the Old Firm derby.
The Hoops were strong favourites to win, but Rodgers’s side had to settle for a goalless draw.
Celtic played most of the match with just 10 men due to the sending-off of Olivier Ntcham in the 37th minute.
After the match, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers told Sky Sports that the officials did not perform well, but the former Liverpool boss also said that he does not like to focus too much on the referees.
Mysteriously a Brendan Rodgers interview just popped up in our studio where he blamed the officials for poor officiating and then said he doesn’t want to criticize the officials. Make your mind up.— Craig Burley (@CBurleyESPN) September 14, 2018
Celtic took St Mirren too lightly.. their playing the champions it’s on tv and they have a new manager. Incham lost his head, saying that Celtic could still have nicked with 10 men.. dust ourselves down let’s get off to a flyer on Thursday— John Hartson (@JohnHartson10) September 14, 2018
