Sunderland, Hull City and Bolton Wanderers reportedly wanted Nedum Onuoha.
Nedum Onuoha was reportedly a man in demand following the former Manchester City defender’s departure from Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, with Sunderland, Hull City and Bolton Wanderers claimed to be interested.
According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 18:57pm, June 14, 2018), Hull in the Championship wanted to sign Onuoha on a free transfer in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).
In August, HITC Sport reported of Bolton Wanderers’ interest in the 31-year-old defender (click here to read more), while back in May, The Mirror claimed that Sunderland want the former England Under-21 international (click here to read more).
Onuoha is a hugely experienced defender, and there was no surprise to see Hull, QPR and Sunderland all reportedly want the former QPR man.
However, the Tigers, Rangers and the Black Cats have missed out on the former City defender.
As reported by BBC Sport, Onuoha has joined Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake on a free transfer on a deal until the end of 2019.
The defender is still young enough and good enough to play in the Championship or League One, but MLS is a new adventure for Onuoha.
