Queens Park Rangers will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run when they travel to Bolton Wanderers this weekend.

The Hoops have picked up four points in their last two games, but Steve McClaren’s side will need to be at their best to get anything from the University of Bolton stadium.

The QPR manager had come under fire after a dreadful start but since loan signings Tomer Hemed, Nahki Wells and Geoff Cameron have come in, Rangers have looked much more assured.

The latter came in from Stoke City on deadline day and made his debut from the bench as QPR played out a stalemate with Birmingham City a fortnight ago.

Saturday’s trip to eighth-placed Bolton is really going to test and reveal how far the R’s have come over the international break and Cameron’s inclusion from the off should be widely considered.

The 33-year-old offers over six years of Premier League experience and his industrious nature and leadership qualities will be vital if QPR are to get a positive result.

If McClaren decides to start Cameron, it will likely be in place of Jordan Cousins in the centre of midfield and he will need to offer necessary protection in front of the back four.

Much can hinge on the USA international’s link-up with Massimo Luongo and, with a strong performance this weekend, QPR fans will want to see more of the same moving forward.

QPR are likely to be otherwise unchanged from the side who drew 0-0 with Birmingham on 1 September. Joe Lumley will take the gloves, with Hemed and Wells leading the attack in a 4-4-2 formation.
