Dominic Matteo praises Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez

Dominic Matteo has told LUTV that Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s current system suits Pablo Hernandez.

Hernandez, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has been one of the best players for Leeds so far this season.

The 33-year-old Spaniard has scored three goals and provided two assists in five Championship appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this season, according to WhoScored.

 

Former Leeds star Matteo has praised Hernandez, and believes that the former Valencia ace is good enough to play in the Premier League, with the Spaniard having featured in the top flight of English football with Swansea City.

Matteo told LUTV about Hernandez: “I think Hernandez obviously looks like he is very comfortable playing with this system.

“He makes the difference. I think he can play in the Premier League, I have always said that, the way he plays the game.”

Creative heart

Hernandez is one of the most creative midfielders in the Championship, and the 33-year-old will be a key figure for Leeds this season.

The Spaniard is the creative heart of the Leeds team, and the midfielder is flourishing in Bielsa’s system at the moment.

Leeds are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 14 points from six matches.
