Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has told The Express & Star that he is confident that Everton-owned winger Yannick Bolasie will be fit for the match against Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Bolasie joined Championship club Villa on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Everton in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old DR Congo international winger has yet to make his debut for the Villans, but the former Crystal Palace star has been training and building up his fitness.

Villa manager Bruce has said that he is confident that Bolasie - who earns £75,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com - will feature in the Championship match against Blackburn away from home at Ewood Park on Saturday evening.

"We always had it in our mind that we want him ready for after the international break,” Bruce told The Express & Star about Bolasie. “He’s making huge strides out there... we’re quietly confident that he’ll be ready for Blackburn.”
