Kemar Roofe is proving a bargain for Leeds United so should more thought be given to their transfer policy,

Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe is enjoying his best season yet at Elland Road.
Roofe is thriving for Leeds, starring as their main striker.
The Whites paid just £3 million to sign Roofe from Oxford United and it looks like money well spent.
So it begs the question as to why Leeds have not tried to repeat this?
Leeds have had numerous additions arrive at Elland Road over the past two seasons.
Rarely have they followed the Roofe route, arriving at Leeds via League One or League Two.

Roofe played in League Two prior to his move to Leeds, firing Oxford to promotion.
His success at Leeds demonstrates the value of smart scouting and bold strategy, to gamble on a talent playing in a league below.
One player Leeds certainly missed the boat on is Brentford forward Ollie Watkins, who joined the Bees from Exeter City.
Leeds are better off financially under owner Andrea Radrizzani and can set their sights higher, buying Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford this summer.
Those signings are top additions are are not to be knocked, but Leeds should not forget about the gems in the lower leagues too.
After all, Roofe is keeping Bamford out of the side.
