Aiden McGeady is yet to feature in Sunderland’s 2018/19 campaign.

Sunderland’s most impressive part of their unbeaten early-season form has been their free-flowing attacking play, with the Black Cats scoring 14 goals in seven games.
Wingers Chris Maguire and Lynden Gooch have been crucial in the new campaign, accumulating four goals and four assists between them.
And with Aiden McGeady recently returning to first-team training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Sunderland will have competition for places out wide.
The 32-year-old was one of the shining lights in last season’s dismal Championship campaign, which saw Sunderland relegated to the third tier.
McGeady scored seven goals after arriving on Wearside in 2017 and Black Cats fans will be hopeful the winger can recapture that form once available for selection.

The Irishman’s best attributes are his ability to run with the ball and his dead-ball delivery, which could make him a man to fear in a league which lacks flair and cutting edge.
Last season’s key man will have his work cut out to cement a starting place back in the first 11, but with games coming thick and fast, McGeady is bound to get a chance in the starting 11 soon.
