Leeds United have made a great start to their Championship campaign.

Ex-Leeds boss David O’Leary sat down for an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, and shared his delight at seeing his former club doing so well under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, having taken 14 points from their opening six games, and many are predicting that they will go on and secure promotion back to the top flight this season.

Leeds have been in the footballing wilderness for far too long, having not been in the top flight since 2004, and their fans will be desperate to see their side return to the promised land this term.

O’Leary spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail about his former side’s start to the season, and responded when asked whether he is pleased to see them doing so well:

“I am delighted they have started well. It would be great for them to come back into the Premier League.”

Next up for Leeds is a tough looking trip to Millwall on Saturday, and Bielsa’s men will have to be at their very best, if they are to return to west Yorkshire with maximum points.
