Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa reportedly want Robert Huth.
Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for former Chelsea and Leicester City defender Robert Huth.
According to The Mirror, Villa are interested in securing the services of the German central defender on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old former Middlesbrough and Stoke City defender is a free agent at the moment, having left Leicester at the end of last season.
It has been reported that Villa manager Steve Bruce has turned to Huth after failing to bring Chelsea legend John Terry back to Villa Park.
Huth is a very experienced defender who won the Premier League title twice with Chelsea and once with Leicester.
Villa reached the Championship playoff final last season and are aiming to finish in the top six of the league table yet again this campaign.

Embarrassing both too slow he should be sacked for putting us in this position who will he blame this time— David Cave (@davecave8) September 9, 2018
Huth but doubt he’ll end up playing cb under Bruce he’ll probably end up on the wing— villanfranco (@8c1bfranco) September 9, 2018
If memory serves me right. Collins wasn’t that good when he was here before that’s why we sold him. Hush for me utv #avfc— Steve Greaves (@24Essgee) September 9, 2018

Desperately need reinforcements. This defence is not good enough for promotion and if Chester gets injured it’s a disaster. Collins better than Jedinak. Huth a decent back up and good for defending last 10mins. “Yes” to both but we shouldn’t be in this position— Greg Jones (@GregJMoleman) September 9, 2018
Always wanted @AVFCOfficial to sign Huth – but unfortunately that was ten years ago. We have another CB at the club already but the stubborn idiot won’t play him there. Need to sign somebody quick though before the name Chris Samba comes up again…— Deadly_Doug (@deadly_doug) September 9, 2018
Huth is as slow as a snail but that big brutal CB we are missing, i fear he will get caught out by pace quite a bit but good enough on set pieces and general defensive duties and shape, choosing Collins or Huth after having all window Bruce should be sacked for sure— British Clive (@BritishBuIIdog) September 9, 2018
James chester plays better next to a dominant cb this is a good signing all round— mswin166 (@mswin166) September 9, 2018
Bloke was awful last season not up to it— Jason Neville (@SolarioRacing) September 8, 2018
