The first international break of the season is upon us already, and a host of Liverpool players have been in action around the world.
Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez featured for England against Spain on Saturday night, whilst Virgil van Dijk started in the Netherlands' 2-1 win over Peru on Thursday.
On Saturday morning, three Liverpool stars were in action in the same game, as Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino started for Brazil against the United States.
Unsurprisingly, a Brazil side which also contained for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho ran out winners, beating the US 2-0 at MetLife Stadium.
It was Liverpool ace Firmino who got the scoring started, as a blistering run from Douglas Costa ended with the ball being crossed in for Firmino to tap home from close range.
The second goal came when Fabinho went on a run into the box, and he was adjudged to have been tripped, allowing Neymar to score from the penalty spot.
Whilst Alisson kept a clean sheet and Firmino was on the scoresheet, much of the attention from Liverpool fans was on Fabinho, who hasn't even played a minute of Premier League football since arriving from Monaco this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has been taking it slowly with Fabinho, easing him into life in English football, but he flourished for Brazil - even at right back despite traditionally playing as a holding midfield.
Liverpool fans took to Twitter to hail Fabinho as 'flawless' and 'dripping class', whilst urging Klopp to finally give him playing time in the Premier League as he is a 'proper talent' who will eventually be 'immense' in the Liverpool side having impressed supporters with his display for Brazil.

I can easily see Fabinho absolutey dictating games from the midfield for Liverpool. He's been class in RB but you can see it's not his best position. His positioning, passing, and movement are all still tuned to a midfield game. He will be immense in our midfield. #LFC— The Other People (@2c7li) September 8, 2018
#LFC @LFC Fabinho hasn’t played a competitive game in months but yet he was on top form last night for Brazil and considering his lack of games his positional play was fantastic!! So what excuse will Klopp try and use now to not play him instead of one of his mates.— Makaveli (@Marklfc10Mark) September 8, 2018
Fabinho was 100% looking ready last night, man is so mature and so tidy in possession.— Rollins (@BassamLFC) September 8, 2018
Seeing Fabinho’s game for Brazil against USA last night and I’ve never been more calm about a player. Dripping class.— Kønflict (@ItuByNature) September 8, 2018
Maybe Klopp should consider playing Fabinho as right back, was really good in that position for Brazil last night— KITSO (@diselekitson) September 8, 2018
Just woke up having watched the Brazil game last night and wow what a player we have in Fabinho!— Stuart Reece (@stuartereece) September 8, 2018
