The 'Match for Cancer' charity game took place at Celtic on Saturday afternoon.
Whilst the first international break of the season is upon us already, there was action at Celtic's Parkhead stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Bhoys beat Rangers there last weekend, but this time, it was all for charity as the 'Match for Cancer' took place, with former Aston Villa teammates Stiliyan Petrov and James Milner captaining the two sides.
It was essentially a Celtic XI against a Liverpool XI, with Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp taking charge of the teams in a game featuring stars of past and present.
Even with all the former internationals on the pitch, it was freestyle footballer Jeremy Lynch who got the scoring started for Milner's XI from the penalty spot after a handball inside the area.
Ex-Celtic striker Robbie Keane then scored a superb equaliser, racing into the box before firing into the top corner, and the game became a glut of goals after that point.
Joan Capdevila scored for Milner's side, only for Ashley Young to hit back for Petrov, and when Capdevila bagged his second, Gabriel Agbonlahor equalised again to make the final score 3-3.
The result or any performances weren't the priority on a superb day at Parkhead, but Celtic fans were certainly impressed with striker Keane, who scored 16 goals in 19 games for the Bhoys during a 2010 loan spell.
Now 38, Keane is a free agent having left Indian side ATK – and fans believe that Celtic boss Rodgers should be looking to re-sign him for the Bhoys, believing that he is better than Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos even with his advancing years, with others predicting that a move will happen sooner rather than later after Moussa Dembele left for Lyon last week.

Robbie Keane at 38 is still better than Morelos.
Half expecting Robbie Keane to be offered a deal after this game— Austin O'Donnell (@austinodonnell1) September 8, 2018

Alot of attacking options out there but Robbie Keane could be an unusual but decent signing, even just for a year. Still technically gifted and immense football knowledge, just not the most quickest of strikers— ConMac67 (@con_mac67) September 8, 2018
Robbie Keane has still got it 10000%. What a player— Jordan Priest (@jord_priest) September 8, 2018
Get Robbie Keane signed 'til January.— Green and White (@greenandwhite) September 8, 2018
