The centre-back left Wolverhampton Wanderers for Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.

Wolves skipper Conor Coady spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about Danny Batth’s recent loan exit from the club, and offered high words of praise for the 27-year-old, labelling him as a sensational captain and servant for the club.
Batth joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan deal on transfer deadline day, after falling down the centre-back pecking order at Molineux.
The defender joined Wolves from Colchester in the summer of 2010, and has gone on to be a real stalwart for the club, chalking up 212 appearances in all competitions.
And Coady couldn’t speak highly enough of Batth.
The Wolves captain sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and highlighted how much he rates the 27-year-old, as both a player and a person:

“He’s a special fella, he really is. He’s been special for myself but also for this football club. He’s led Wolves for years when the club was at its lowest really and he brought it back up. As a captain he’s been absolutely sensational – he’ll be missed by the club and the lads. I hope he goes there and has a fantastic season with Middlesbrough. We’ve all wished him well, all the boys have texted him and rang him.”
Batth will be hoping to impress for Boro this season, and if he does, there is no reason why he can’t still have a future at Wolves.
