Everton are reportedly keen on Atlanta United’s George Bello.

According to Calciomercato, Everton have enquired about a deal for Atlanta United defender George Ballo – but Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is very keen on a move.

The Toffees spent freely in the summer, and one of their top targets was to bring in a new left back to eventually succeed Leighton Baines – and they certainly found one.

Lucas Digne has arrived from Barcelona, but with Luke Garbutt and Brendan Galloway falling by the wayside, a very young left back could still be a target.

Now, Calciomercato report that Everton are one of a host of clubs to have enquired about signing Atlanta United talent George Bello, with real hopes of bringing him to England.

Chelsea, Genoa, Roma and Schalke are all thought to have made similar moves for Bello, but it’s stated that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are particularly keen to land the teenager.

Bello, born in Nigeria, is just 16 but has already made his senior debut for MLS side Atlanta United, whilst he also features for the United States Under-17’s.

Bello looks set for a huge future and is one of the most in-demand wonderkids around, and whilst some may have fears about a US talent after the high-profile failure of Freddy Adu, Everton appear to be keen on bringing Bello to Goodison Park – but Guardiola may just prevent them from striking a deal by offering him a move to the Premier League champions.
