Nomura Asset Management appoints Managing Director

Nomura Asset Management U.K. Ltd. (“NAM UK”) has announced the appointment of Peter Ball as Managing Director with responsibility for all aspects of distribution and client relations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Richard Bisson, Chief Executive Officer, NAM UK, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to Nomura. His long track record and experience of launching, selling and marketing sophisticated investment solutions and leading global distribution teams will be enormously beneficial as NAM UK looks at ways to enhance its services.”

Ball has 30 years’ experience in the asset management industry and prior to joining Nomura, he was Head of Global Distribution and Director of Institutional Business at Kames Capital. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Head of UK Institutional at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Head of Investment at JLT Employee Benefits.

Ball said: “I am very much looking forward to joining the team at Nomura and building on the success of the firm globally. Taking the firm’s EMEA expansion to the next level is a very exciting prospect.”
