Rangers youngster Myles Beerman has taken to Twitter to express his delight at completing his loan move to Maltese side Birkirkara this summer.
Beerman is a player who appears to have fallen somewhat off the radar at Ibrox. The youngster was initially brought into the first-team fold during the early stages of Pedro Caixinha's tenure with the Scottish Premiership side, but did not play at all for the Gers last season.
Instead the left-back headed out on loan to Queen of the South, but he only managed to make four appearances for the Scottish Championship side before returning to his parent club in the latter stages of the campaign.
Interestingly, the defender was handed a new contract until next summer following the end of his loan in the second tier - as reported by The Scottish Sun. But he seemingly faces a tough task trying to prove to Steven Gerrard that he deserves fresh terms over the next year.
Beerman has confirmed on Twitter that he has joined Birkirkara on loan. It is not clear at this stage how long the loan move will be for, but he has taken to social media to comment on the switch...
Given that Gerrard is unlikely to keep too much of a close eye on the top flight in Malta, it is surely going to take something extremely special for Beerman to enjoy the kind of spell that proves a real point.
Rangers are well stocked at left-back with the signings of both Jon Flanagan and Borna Barisic, so some of the Ibrox faithful would be forgiven for looking at Beerman's move as a potential indication that it is looking unlikely that he will force his way back into the Gers' plans in the future.
