Lazy with no effort
Ki was woeful. Diame wasteful. Thank goodness for Dubravka. Onwards and upwards. Easy one against the gunners next.— Grant Malcolm (@mrgrantmalc) September 1, 2018
Definitely a lot better today. With Lascelles back in the side, the team was a lot more organised. Diame’s work rate was exceptional. I think if Rafa changed things a bit earlier than last 10 we might of came away with a point. #nufc— Matt Rich-Tea (@shingnufc) September 1, 2018
I like Ki, but him and Diame isn’t a partnership. Forced together out of necessity. I’d like to see Ki and Shelvey #NUFC— Ian (@ISTB87) September 1, 2018
Not a bad result. Only beaten by a very good Walker goal. Plus points being Dubravka, DeYedlin and Diame form. Good shape and discipline #NUFC— Alan (@OskarEriksson) September 1, 2018
Diame more like his old self today bombing around making tackles. #GeordieKante— Highland Geordie (@NUFC_Oscar86_) September 1, 2018
WTF does Diame actually do apart from jog around— Mark Roberts (@Inthetin) September 1, 2018
Diame has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by The Mirror to be worth £4.5 million.
Diame has played in all four of Newcastle’s Premier League matches so far this campaign.
