Mousa Dembele has taken to Twitter to comment on the fact that he joined Tottenham Hotspur six years ago today.
Toby Alderweireld has joined a host of Tottenham fans in sending messages to Mousa Dembele after the midfielder took to Twitter to mark the fact that he joined Spurs six years ago today.
Dembele has been an incredible servant for Tottenham, establishing himself as one of the finest midfielders in the Premier League during this era having been a key player in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The Belgian has made over 230 appearances for Spurs in all competitions and has been integral to their progression from top four underdogs to a team that is competing on several fronts and has to be included in the Premier League title debate each year.
And to mark the six year anniversary of his arrival at White Hart Lane, Dembele took to social media to highlight the landmark as well as send out a message to the supporters for the love that they have shown him.
And unsurprisingly, the tweet was met with even more love from the Spurs fans. Dembele is one of the most popular members of the Tottenham squad and the supporters were quick to laud him for his contribution to the club.
There continues to be speculation over his future at Tottenham – the Daily Mail reported that he is expected to be sold in January – but it is clear that the Spurs fans want him to stay, and they are seemingly not the only ones with Toby Alderweireld also sending Dembele a message on Twitter.
Here is Dembele’s tweet as well as the responses from some of the Tottenham fans and Alderweireld…
