West Ham United will not be signing free agent Yaya Toure, his agent Dimitry Seluk has revealed.
The 35-year-old has had a successful medical in London and, with some tipping the London Stadium to be his next stop, Seluk took to Twitter to clear the air.
It's not West Ham, 100%.— Dimitry Seluk (@dmitriseluk) August 28, 2018
Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him https://t.co/eDGeI0EvFf
It seems a majority of West Ham fans are not disappointed that Toure will not be reuniting with manager Manuel Pellegrini at the club, and here is how some of them reacted to the latest development on Twitter:

You think he’ll get a shot at another top club? I think he’d struggle in our side, let alone one of the big boys. Fair play to him if he does though!— Ryan Cunningham (@Ryceezy) August 28, 2018
It remains to be seen if Toure having a medical in London necessary means a club in the city have agreed to sign him, but a move is definitely nearing completion, and West Ham are no doubt better off without him.
At 35, the three-time Premier League-winning legend does not have much top-level football to offer, and the Hammers should be looking elsewhere if they indeed need to add another midfielder to their ranks come January.
