A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that the Scotland squad has been announced and Gers midfielder Ryan Jack will not be involved in the country's games with Albania and Belgium.

Jack has not been involved in the Scotland setup since last November having missed much of last season due to injury. However, he has quickly reestablished himself as a key man for Steven Gerrard's side.

The 26-year-old has been superb during the opening weeks of the new campaign, proving to be a hugely important player to Gerrard's midfield as they continue to make an extremely promising start to the season on both the domestic and European fronts.

Jack's form may have prompted most Rangers fans to believe that it was almost inevitable that he would get to add to his one international cap during the upcoming games, but Alex McLeish has had other ideas.

McLeish has called up just one Rangers player for the friendly with the World Cup semi-finalists and the Nations League clash with Albania, with Allan McGregor being rewarded for his excellent form since his return to Ibrox in the summer.

The news that Jack will miss out has not gone down particularly well amongst the Rangers fans. Many are adamant that he has done enough to force his way back into the team and McLeish has made a massive mistake not handing him a chance.

However, there are also a couple of fans who are delighted to see Jack omitted, despite the fact that they also believe that he has earned a chance. They believe that it will be more beneficial to Rangers for Jack to not feature.
