Celtic are reportedly pushing for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna.

Scotland Under-21 boss Scott Gemmill has told The Scottish Sun that he thinks Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna is good enough to make the jump to play for Celtic.
The Bhoys have endured plenty of frustration in the transfer market this summer, as after signing loanees Scott Bain and Odsonne Edouard permanently, veteran left back Emilio Izaguirre and winger Daniel Arzani have been the only new signings.
After crashing out of the Champions League qualifiers at the hands of AEK Athens, Celtic fans are desperate for additions, and a central defender appears to be on Brendan Rodgers’ radar.
Dedryck Boyata’s future remains in doubt as his contract expires next summer, Marvin Compper has endured injury problems since his January move and Jack Hendry has struggled following his switch from Dundee.
Celtic have been linked with a number of defenders this summer but a move was made for Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna on Tuesday, with the Dons rejecting a £3.5million bid according to BBC Sport.
The Bhoys may or may not return with a new move, but the 21-year-old does fit the bill for Celtic as a strong and imposing defender with a bright future having already featured with the Scotland national team.

Aberdeen may be standing firm, but Scotland Under-21 boss Scott Gemmill has been asked about the situation, and told The Scottish Sun that he thinks McKenna has what it takes to go to the next level with Celtic.
“I do,” said Gemmill. “He’s lucky to be working for a manager in Derek McInnes who has really helped him develop at Aberdeen. There’s no doubt Scott can play at the very top level. Derek’s also been honest to say how influential that game against Holland was. Real credit has to go to Derek and Aberdeen for that development,” he added.
