Rangers fans would love to see Oliver McBurnie at Ibrox.

Rangers are busy preparing for Thursday’s crucial Europa League qualifier against Ufa, but fans were drawn to the Swansea City versus Leeds United clash on Tuesday night.

The Gers can take a huge step towards the Europa League group stage with a win on Thursday, and they have a new striker in the ranks in Kyle Lafferty following his move from Hearts today.

However, Rangers fans have been drawn to another striker, as Swansea City’s Oliver McBurnie starred in a 2-2 draw against Championship rivals Leeds United on Tuesday night.

McBurnie finished off a sweeping counter-attack to open the scoring for the Swans, before putting his side back in front with a superb header after hanging in the air to score.

The Scot turned in a superb display even aside from his goals, producing the perfect centre forward’s performance full of running, endeavour, hold-up play and link-up play whilst battling the Leeds defenders.

A boyhood Rangers fan, McBurnie was the subject of a £4million bid from Rangers this summer according to The Sun, but he ended up signing a new deal with Swansea.

Rangers fans haven’t forgotten about McBurnie though, and many watched his his performance against Leeds before taking to Twitter to beg him to make the move to Ibrox one day.

Some were gutted that Rangers didn’t manage to seal a transfer this summer, backing him to form a great partnership with Alfredo Morelos – and Gers fans will be wishing for him to make the move to Glasgow in the near future.
