Reportedly offered to Aston Villa, Derby County and Middlesbrough this month, Martin Odegaard finds new temporary home in Holland

Odegaard's parent club are said to have made contact with Aston Villa, Derby County and Middlesborough about a loan for the Norway winger.

Little more than a week since he was reportedly offered to Aston Villa, Derby County and Middlesbrough, Martin Odegaard has found a new temporary home in Holland.

According to Teamtalk, Real Madrid had been in contact with Villa, Derby and Boro about a loan for the Norway winger.

But it is to the Eredivisie - where he spent the 2017-18 season at Heerenveen, -that Odegaard will ply his trade this time around as a Vitesse Arnhem player.

Teamtalk reports that Odegaard earns £30,000-a-week at Real Madrid, who are said to have wanted the full amount covering.

But Derby have little need to strengthen in the teenager's position, having added Florian Jozefzoon, Harry Wilson and Mason Mount - Odegaard's predecessor in Arnhem - in the summer transfer window, while Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are fighting over Everton's Yannick Bolasie, according to Sky Sports.
