Rangers' Myles Beerman looks set to spend the rest of the season away from Ibrox.
The Times of Malta reported over the weekend that an agreement is in place between Birkirkara, Beerman and Rangers which will see the 19-year-old return to his homeland on loan.
And it is claimed that Beerman is expected to arrive back in Malta this midweek.
The former Manchester City youngster signed a new one-year deal at Rangers as recently as May, but was immediately told by Steven Gerrard, the newly-appointed Rangers manager, that he would be best served leaving Ibrox on loan, according to the Times of Malta.
Beerman has played eight times for Rangers' first team, but ended last season at Queen of the South.
And the Times of Malta reports that the versatile full-back had offers from other Scottish Championship clubs before he plumped for Birkirkara.
