The 18-year-old striker is the son of former Leeds man Alf-Inge Haaland who spent three years at Elland Road until 2000.
Due to his father's connections, the young marksman is himself a fan of the West Yorkshire side and admitted earlier this summer that it was his "dream" to join the Whites and win the Premier League.
He told Aftenposten, a Norwegian newspaper: "The dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds. In addition, the goal is to become a better player than my dad was. I hope to get more caps than he did."
Haaland had been linked with a move away from Molde for much of the summer and he has finally got it - but he won't be turning out for Leeds in the Championship this season.
The youngster has signed a five-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg and here is how some Leeds supporters have reacted:

Good choice, both the club and @ErlingHaaland - all the best!— Ivar Hognestad (@ihognes) August 18, 2018
The red-hot hitman has a very bright future and it'll be interesting if he ever does wind up at Elland Road.
If he's the real deal, then he probably won't be joining Leeds until they're a Premier League side which, depending on your outlook, could be next season.
Marcelo Bielsa's side have won all four games this season - three in the Championship - and promotion does not look all that unrealistic at the moment.
