Brendan Rodgers has admitted Dedryck Boyata could play for Celtic in the Europa League this week.
Celtic have been drawn against Lithuanian side Suduva in the qualifying round, after their Champions League elimination.
Rodgers publishing admonished Boyata in midweek after he did not travel to Greece.
Boyata claimed he had an injury, which Rodgers disputed, amid the backdrop of transfer speculation surrounding the Belgian.
Speaking after Celtic’s Saturday afternoon win in the Scottish League Cup away to Partick Thistle, Rodgers said there could be a chance of redemption for Boyata.
There had seemed to be no way back for the Belgium international following his clash with Rodgers in midweek, but clearly there appears to be a desire from the manager to heal the rift.
Celtic were poor defensively without Boyata, and while he is a player whose limitations have sometimes been exposed, he is an upgrade on their current options.
