Everton boss Marco Silva has told The Guardian he is demanding that three of his summer signings learn English in order to better communicate with him and their team-mates.
And Silva told The Guardian that it's "very important" for Richarlison - who bagged a brace on his debut for the club at Wolves last week - and his team-mates to attain an acceptable level of English.
"Richarlison has settled in well, he is a fantastic professional and a good boy. But he has to learn as much English as he can and we are pushing him on that because it is important for him and for us.
"He is doing it but he needs to improve his English. That applies to me as well. I am learning it all the time. I have already told Bernard and Mina. They have to learn English as well."
Silva's side drew 2-2 at Wolves last weekend, despite facing the newly-promoted side with 10 men for most of the game following Phil Jagielka's first-half red card.
Everton, who also signed Lucas Digne, Kurt Zouma and Andre Gomes this summer, host Southampton on Merseyside today as they go in search of a first victory.
