Blackburn Rovers are said to have failed with an offer of £6 million for the Nottingham Forest striker.

Blackburn Rovers have made an improved bid of £8 million for the Nottingham Forest striker, Ben Brereton, according to the Sun.
Blackburn were reported to have offered £6 million to sign Brereton on a loan-to-buy deal earlier this week, only for Forest to turn it down.
And Aitor Karanka’s side are said to want closer to £12 million for the England Under-19 international – despite having kept him out of the first four fixtures of their new campaign.
The Nottingham Forest academy product only turned 19 in April, but has already made 57 senior appearances – from which he has scored or assisted 16 goals.

But the summer arrivals of Lewis Grabban, Hillal Soudani, Gil Dias and Diogo Goncalves have left Brereton with a battle on to regain his place in Karanka’s team.
Venky’s, the Blackburn owners, are ready to loosen the purse strings after their chicken business recorded huge profits, according to the Sun.
