Nyom is reportedly set to join La Liga side Leganes on loan from West Brom.

West Bromwich Albion defender Allan Nyom has taken to Instagram to confirm his departure from the Baggies ahead of the club’s official Twitter account.

The 30-year-old full-back is reportedly close to joining Spanish La Liga side Leganes on a season-long loan, despite featuring for the Baggies against Bolton Wanderers earlier this season and the Norwich last weekend.

West Brom and Darren Moore have brought in a number of defenders this summer, in the form of Kyle Bartley, Tosin Adarabioyo and Conor Townsend, and that has seen the Baggies give Nyom permission to leave.

Posting on his Instagram, 16-time Cameroon international Nyom said that he is hoping West Brom gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt – and stated that he will remain “one of you”.

The 6ft 2in defender joined West Brom from Watford back in the summer of 2016, signing a four-year deal at the Hawthorns but struggled to win over fans during his time in the Midlands.

He clocked up 67 appearances for West Brom and it appears that he wants to extend that number, but only if the Baggies are in the top division of English football.
