Liverpool reportedly reject loan offer from Torino; what next for Marko Grujic?

(THE SUN OUT, THE SUN ON SUNDAY OUT)

Marko Grujic will not be joining Torino after also rejecting Cardiff - so what next for the Liverpool midfielder?

Marko Grujic of Liverpool holds off Tomas Rincon of Torino during the pre-season friendly match between Liverpool and Torino at Anfield on August 7, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Marko Grujic will not be moving to Torino during this transfer window, as the Liverpool Echo have reported that Liverpool rejected their offer.

The Serie A club wanted to take Grujic on a season-long loan but with the option to make the move permanent next summer for £9m.

The Reds value the midfielder at closer to £20m and do not want to sell the Serbia international in any case, believing he has a future at Anfield.

However, at present manager Jurgen Klopp cannot offer Grujic enough game time - hence the desire to loan the 22-year-old out - but options are beginning to become scarce.

The Serb has already turned down the chance to rejoin Cardiff City, despite their promotion to the Premier League, because he wanted to instead consider his options.

With the English transfer window now closed that is no longer a possibility and although there are rumours that CSKA Moscow are interested, as yet there has been no concrete offer from the Russian side.
