Aston Villa released their third kit yesterday ahead of their Carabao Cup clash.
Aston Villa released their third kit for the upcoming season and fans have been quick to make their opinions known.
The new strip, which was worn for the first time in last night’s Carabao Cup tie against Yeovil Town, was designed by Villa fan and clothing brand designer Luke Roper.
Roper also designed the club’s 2018/19 home and away kit, both of which were extremely well received when they were released in July.

For the third strip, Roper has moved away from the club’s traditional claret and blue colours, opting instead for a purple with purple sleeves and large Vs of varying shades of pink on the upper chest.
Following a difficult summer, Steve Bruce’s side have made a stellar start to the season, with wins against Hull City and Wigan Athletic leaving them 3rd in the Championship.
With the club having been hamstrung by financial restrictions during the transfer window, the Villa Park faithful will be hoping there may be some new additions to the squad through the loan market before the end of the month, for the time being, however, they will have to settle for the new kit announcement.
The new shirt has received mix reviews from Villa fans, with fans taking to Twitter to express their opinions…

I think Luke has earned the right to think outside the box on this one, I think it’s the 3rd success in a row
