Robert Snodgrass has sent a message to John McGinn on Instagram, following the midfielder’s move to Aston Villa.
McGinn joined Villa in the closing stages of the transfer window, after Steve Bruce’s side agreed a fee with Hibernian.
McGinn then posted on social media celebrating the transfer, and Snodgrass was quick to tell the 24-year-old he had made a smart choice by picking Villa.
Snodgrass spent last season on loan at Villa, and he became a fans’ favourite at Villa Park.
It is believed that Bruce’s side attempted to bring him back this summer, but West Ham United want to keep him this time around.
Villa will be hoping that McGinn can reproduce the sort of form for them that he showed in a Hibs shirt.
McGinn was one of Hibs’ key players and was regarded as one of the top talents in Scotland during his time there.
Villa are in action at the weekend against Wigan Athletic, in a game which McGinn could make his debut.
