Great feeling to be involved tonight and an even better result https://t.co/iuh4MbbqwF— Stephen (@stephenkelly_50) August 9, 2018
Rangers loanee Greg Docherty responded, sending Kelly a message of encouragement.
Docherty himself has recently been loaned out to Shrewsbury for regular playing time.
Love it Steve!— Greg Docherty (@Gregdocherty96) August 9, 2018
Stephen Kelly, 18, has impressed in Ranegrs under-20 side in recent months and caught the eye of manager Steven Gerrard in pre-season.
It may not be too long until he is handed an even more prominent role.
