Jack Grealish looks committed to remaining at Villa despite interest from Tottenham.
Grealish, 22, has been linked with a move to Tottenham throughout the entire transfer window, but Spurs failed to land the England youth international before Thursday's 5pm deadline despite tabling a £25million offer.
Following the end of the window, Grealish posted on Instagram a message to Villa fans, captioning a photo of himself in action with the words: "Let's get to work."
Snodgrass replied to the post, "the main man", before Grealish himself replied to the West Ham United winger, urging him to return to the Championship outfit in their bid for promotion with: "just waiting for you to come back now".
Loaned out by West Ham last summer to Steve Bruce's side, Snodgrass was pivotal in pushing Villa into the play-offs and reaching the final - where they lost 1-0 to Fulham at Wembley.
The former Leeds United, Norwich City and Hull City set-piece specialist scored an impressive eight goals but proving to be more important in supplying his teammates with 13 assists.
He is set to be on the fringes of West Ham's squad this season, with Manuel Pellegrini impressed with his efforts during pre-season. However, the Chilean manager has bought Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko.
Villa can still land Snodgrass on loan, with Football League clubs able to make loan signings. Villa even made a move for Snodgrass on deadline day, according to The Guardian, but were told he would not be leaving the London Stadium.
