Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has brought Lassana Coulibaly to his side this season.
Coulibaly has made a wonderful start at Rangers, since arriving on loan from Angers in the summer.
The midfielder put in a brilliant display last night, as he helped Rangers pick up a 3-1 victory over Maribor.
Coulibaly scored Rangers’ final goal in the match late on, and Gerrard’s promise that the 22-year-old will only get better is seriously exciting for Light Blues supporters.
"He (Lassana) is a machine, he's exactly what this football club needed in terms of that enforcer in the middle of the park,” Gerrard said.
"He enjoys getting after people, biting into tackles and doing the ugly side of the game.
"He loves it and is only going to get better, there is more to come.”
Coulibaly has provided energy and steel to Rangers’ midfield during his time at Ibrox so far, and looks set to have a crucial role to play for Gerrard’s side over the course of the season.
Rangers’ performance against Maribor last night was arguably their finest since Gerrard took charge.
The Gers now look well set to qualify for the next round of the Europa League, as they take a healthy advantage with them to Slovenia next week.
