Leeds United and Middlesbrough have reportedly held initial talks with Aston Villa.

Villa have reportedly declined to offer Adomah a contract extension, leaving him uncertain over his future.
Both Leeds and Middlesbrough have made contact with Villa to sound them out over a switch and the report adds that Adomah’s future could be settled on deadline day.
Middlesbrough have an advantage over Leeds because Adomah played for them before joining Villa.

He left as part of a swap deal for Adama Traore, who Middlesbrough have since sold to Wolves, and now the Teessiders have extra incentive and cash to bring Adomah back.
Last season Adomah scored a career best 14 league goals.
Leeds technical director Victor Orta worked at Middlesbrough previously although did not sign Adomah, as his acquisition pre-dated the Spaniard’s appointment, but the Leeds chief will be well aware of the winger.
