Chelsea have beaten Tottenham to the signing of Mateo Kovacic.

Tottenham Hotspur have lost out to Chelsea in the race for Real Madrid attacker Mateo Kovacic.

Chelsea announced Kovacic's signing on their official website, on a season long loan as part of a deal to sell goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
