According to the Daily Mail, Everton are chasing a deadline day deal for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes alongside defender Yerry Mina.
The Toffees have made three signings so far this summer after a slow start to the transfer window, with goalkeeper Joao Virginia, left back Lucas Digne and winger Richarlison all arriving.
Brazilian playmaker Bernard is set to join the club on a free transfer, but Everton will head into deadline day chasing more signings – and two Barcelona players are on the radar.
The Daily Mail report that not only are Barcelona pursuing defender Yerry Mina, but are also now hoping to bring midfielder Andre Gomes from the Camp Nou to Goodison Park, though it's unclear whether it would be a loan move or a permanent one.
Central defender Mina has been a top target for Everton for many weeks now, but the late addition of a move for Gomes leaves Everton chasing a third deal with Barcelona this summer having also secured Digne.
Gomes, 24, impressed with Valencia following a 2014 move Benfica, and Barcelona snapped him up in 2016 for a fee rising to £45million (BBC Sport) – but he has been a major disappointment so far.
The Portuguese international – who should be familiar to Everton boss and compatriot Marco Silva – has struggled for playing time under Ernesto Valverde, and clearly isn't wanted in Catalunya.
A classy, ball-playing midfielder, Gomes could be a major coup to play alongside Idrissa Gueye, and snapping up Mina, Gomes and Bernard on the final day of the transfer window would be an exciting end for Toffees fans.
